Computer Lab

A computer lab is now available at TRCIL’s Pittsburgh office, to assist consumers in practicing basic computer skills. One to one support will be provided on site at the Pittsburgh office in the lab for approved consumers.
The basic skills may include; Basic sign on, start-up, keyboard. Keeping notes in a word document. Making lists, keeping a journal. How to do a search; jobs, health, research. Resume, cover letter JAWS, Dragon software Scanning Email Social networking Internet and Internet safetyPersons with a visual disability can use adaptive software and scanners to access news, information, and to read books and magazines.
Individuals who have difficulty holding a pen or using a keyboard can use speech recognition software to write letters or perform work related tasks.
